The Air Jordan 1 Purple is a sequel of sorts to the 2018 colorway that also featured the same violet accents. Unlike the old Jordans, this pair uses color blocking reminiscent of the OG ‘Chicago’ colorway with Court Purple replacing the red paneling of the original.
The Air Jordan 1 was designed by Peter Moore and launched by Nike in 1984. It was Michael Jordan who introduced the iconic sneakers to the world when he wore them in the fall of 1984 against the Philadelphia 76ers. This was a pivotal point in the history of shoes in general and specifically for sneakers.
