There are few things that are more annoying on this planet than ordering a pair of shoes online only to find out they don't run true to size.

We've all been there, right?

You've finally found the perfect pair of sneakers, slides, or streetwear that you've been dying to purchase and your favorite online store has them in your size.

You read the reviews, decide on a color and then place your order, waiting expectantly for them to deliver straight to your door.

There you are, holding the box tight, excited to open it and slip on your new kicks.

But wait...there's a problem.

The sneakers, slides, or streetwear that you so carefully ordered don't fit!

Whether they are too big, too small, too narrow, or too wide, finding out that a pair of shoes you've been patiently waiting on don't fit can be a real drag.

Worse, now you have to deal with repackaging them and taking the time to send them back, hoping that the store you bought them from has a reasonable return policy, or will be willing to send you back a new pair of shoes in the right size.

But when it comes to the Adidas Yeezy Slides, we can help you avoid all that!

Read on to find out how.

Understanding the Adidas Yeezy Slides Phenomenon

First, let's take a look back on the history of this shoe so that we can fully grasp the role it's played in recent fashion history, and the impact it continues to make today.

The Adidas Yeezy slide was first introduced to the world back in 2018, but it didn't gain in popularity until the global pandemic hit in 2020.

Up until then, the Adidas Yeezy slides were not taken too seriously.

Sure, some people bought them (they ARE Yeezys after all!) but it was more for fun than actual function.

But after Covid created havoc worldwide and we watched as everyone began to shelter in place, the Adidas Yeezy slides became a mainstay shoe for millions of people everywhere.

The reasons were pretty clear.

The Adidas Yeezy slides are comfy and practical. They go perfectly with just about everything and anything, especially when most of your day is spent working, studying, and/or playing from home.

It was understandable that the Adidas Yeezy slides would grow in popularity during the pandemic.

But now, as we begin to watch our world open back up, one thing is for certain.

The Adidas Yeezy slide seems set to stick around!

As Adidas continues to announce more colorways for the Yeezy slide as well as more drop dates, this shoe is not going anywhere anytime soon.

But if you are thinking about buying a pair (or two!) of Yeezy slides for yourself or someone you love, let's make sure you are clear on the sizing before you begin to drop different pairs into your cart.

Do Adidas Yeezy Slides Run Small?

Like with any purchase, especially if we are doing it sight unseen or online, most of us have one big question that's always the same...

Does this run big? Or small? Or true to size?

The Adidas Yeezy slide is a perfect example of this dilemma, since the sizing is a bit complicated, which is funny for a shoe that is so simple and understated.

One would think that - given the price tag and popularity of this shoe that the Yeezy slides fit true to size.

Considering the fact that the Adidas Yeezy slides feel amazing and that they are literally just a slip on shoe, is it really possible that the sizing could be a bit skewed?

The simple answer is yes.

Despite the simple design and the wide base of this shoe, the Yeezy slides sizing is a bit different from most shoes.

Put simply, the Yeezy slide tends to run a bit smaller than a normal pair of shoes.

The main area that the Yeezy slides sizing tends to be off is around the midfoot, which is tighter than it is in most shoes, especially slides.

If you have narrow feet, you may not have a problem with the sizing of these slides and can probably just wear your usual size.

For those of us who have normal or wide width feet, however, going up a bit in size is probably going to make the most sense.

But here's the other issue.

Saying that you may have to "go up a bit in size" is also a bit of a challenge.

Here's why.

The Adidas Yeezy Slides Fit and Sizing Chart

When your feet are quite wide, going up a full size in the Adidas Yeezy slides is a perfectly reasonable idea.

In fact, giving yourself that whole extra size is going to be a very good idea, even after they stretch a bit and you break them in, since the Yeezy slide sizing is one that is slightly unpredictable.

Since the Yeezy slides are made of a unique EVA foam rubber, the slides won't stretch much once you break them in.

So ordering one size large for people with wide feet is a good idea.

But...if you have normal width feet, this is where you may have some issues.

The Adidas Yeezy slide sizing does not come in half sizes.

So, if there are no half sizes, and you have a relatively standard width foot, you will most likely still want to order your Yeezy slides in a size bigger than normal.

This can be problematic because an entire size bigger may end up meaning the Yeezy slides just aren't going to fit you right.

Some people with normal size feet will still order a size larger and commit to wearing their Yeezys with socks on.

Others decide to stick with the traditional sizing and just hope that they'll stretch enough to make their Yeezy slides fit.

It would be great if the Yeezy slides came in a half size for all of us who don't have narrow little feet.

That said, making concessions for how the Yeezy slides don't fit is not really a bad thing, because one thing is for sure...
